Poul Henningsen threw his first Snowball, a variation on his multi-layered PH pendant series, in a 1958 exhibit at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art. In white-painted spun aluminum, its matte-painted undersurfaces and glossy top finishes result in an attractive reflection of diffused light, creating uniform illumination around the fixture
