Prodded by Moooi co-founder Marcel Wanders to make something “even my grandmother would like,” designers Anna Lindgren and Sofia Lagerkvist responded with a fairy tale of a floor lamp—in the dimensions of a life-size horse. The renegade duo known as Stockholm studio Front fashioned the mighty steed in avant-garde black, working with a sculptor to create the lifesize model in ebony polyester supported by a metal frame inside. Sporting a matching silver-lined lampshade on his head, this creature raises the decorative stakes of any interior at full gallop.
