Form. And function. The armchair version in Danish designer Simon Legald's streamlined Form Series, introduced in 2015 by Normann Copenhagen, doesn't stint on either quality. Seamless polypropylene shell is deftly married to a chair frame of walnut or oak, the result of more than 20 prototypes created over 3 years. Sturdy materials and contoured shape mean hours of comfortable seating. "I had an idea of what the ideal chair should look like," Simon says. "I analyzed hundreds of chairs from different periods during the design process."
