London-based industrial designer Tim Rundle provides a sophisticated take on the prosaic paper lantern with his eye-catching floor lamp. The glorious effect of Bloom’s illumination comes from a layering of materials—a finely perforated mesh core and the frosted blown glass shade. Together they combine to project a mottled texture onto the inside of the shade that contrasts smartly with the matte-black floor stand.
