Description

Steel in Rotation provides another mind-bending variation on Oskar Zieta's signature works of design made from welded sheets of metal and inflated like a balloon using high-pressure air in his innovative FiDU process. Here a kaleidoscopic encircling form is interpreted in a range of gleaming finishes—inky carbon steel, silvery stainless or warm copper—in the table base paired with a revealingly transparent glass top. Since minimal material is needed, the table is much lighter than it appears yet it is extremely durable, an intriguing paradox of the process..
